AJ, of Coastal Culinary Creations, provided us with plate service for over a 100 people for our daughter's wedding. The amazing thing about this was that it was done outdoors over looking Sproat Lake. We had a 4 course dinner that was absolutely scrumptious, hot and beautifully presented. The consensus of the attendees was that the food was as wonderful as any 5 star restaurant. AJ and his staff did a wonderful and professional job, which helped to make the evening truly magical.

Thank God for AJ Hicklin and Coastal Culinary Creations. We hosted a garden wedding recently for 180 people. AJ, with very short notice, stepped in and put on a savory, aesthetically pleasing spread.

And it was all ready right on time! Steaks were barbecued on site to individual tastes. Honouring a nut allergy, AJ encrusted his salmon in oats—what a delicious hit! Roasted potatoes, fresh, crisp salads and more were beautifully presented.

AJ and his staff are efficient, personable and have a keen eye for detail.

Final accolades to AJ and crew are: we heard ‘nothing but positives about his food’, ‘very little was left on plates’, and ‘when his van left the driveway, it was to a standing ovation!!’

I will always remember, a fantastic barbecue at the home of a good friend of mine in Nanaimo this summer. AJ cooked up and served one of the best barbecues of my life! The meat was first marinated in a wonderful choice of spices, was tender and perfectly cooked! This was a wonderful several course meal with scrumptious entrées served in a magical evening. The food tasted like it had been prepared by one of the top chefs. AJ knows how to make the evening meal amazing and how to set the ambiance.
